Nommi is one of those brands people meet by accident. You see a small, round, pastel animal with a sculpted face and a soft body hanging off someone's bag, you ask what it is, and then you discover there are dozens of series, a version-numbering system nobody explains, sizes written as percentages, a ball-jointed doll line, and a sub-line with its own separate numbering.
This guide is the explanation that does not exist anywhere in one place. What Nommi is, how the naming actually works, every format the brand ships in, which series exist, and what to buy first if you are starting now.
What Nommi is
Nommi is a character IP from TOP TOY, the collectible-toy brand owned by MINISO. Listings on resale platforms carry the full attribution - "Miniso Top Toy Nommi" - and MINISO's own regional stores list Nommi as a brand line.
The design language is consistent across almost everything: a sculpted head with a plush body, rounded silhouettes, calm and slightly sleepy expressions, and a pastel palette. The characters are animal-inspired - bunnies, dogs, bears, pandas, and various soft invented creatures.
Nommi sits in a small family of TOP TOY characters. Heymi and Maymei are its siblings, and the brands cross over: the Heymi x Nommi "The Entwined Fate" series pairs the two in one blind box.
What distinguishes Nommi from the vinyl-figure brands it competes with is that it is plush-first. Most designer toy IPs started as vinyl and added plush later. Nommi's core line is soft from the beginning, with figures and dolls as the exception rather than the rule. If you have been priced out of, or bored by, hard vinyl collecting, this is the corner of the category that plays differently.
The naming system, decoded
This is where most people get lost. There are three separate things going on in a Nommi product name, and once you can read them the whole catalogue makes sense.
1. The V-number is the main plush line
The flagship plush series are numbered sequentially with a V prefix: V3 Interesting Fruits, V4 Mibao, V5 Puppy Diary, V6 Fantasy World, V7 x Amarilith, V10 Weather Forecast. Each is a themed set of designs in the standard plush format.
Two things worth knowing. The numbering is not a quality or size indicator - a higher V does not mean bigger or better, only later. And the numbers are not always visible in how retailers list a series, so the same set may appear with or without its V-number depending on where you are shopping. If you are trying to work out whether you already own something, match the theme name, not the number.
2. Percentages are sizes, not editions
Nommi borrows the sizing convention used across the designer toy category. 100% is the small format - pendant and keychain scale, the kind that clips to a bag. 400% is the large format, a substantially bigger plush that functions as a display piece rather than an accessory.
So "Nommi 100% Sweetness Mini Plush Pendant" and "Nommi 400% Mushroom Hat" are not two different series with confusingly similar names. They are two sizes, and the price gap between them is real: the 100% pendants start around $10.99 at DidaPop, while the 400% pieces run from roughly $54.99 up to $249 for limited editions.
3. Sub-lines have their own numbering
Mibao is the confusing one. It appears both as a V-numbered main-line series (V4 Mibao) and as its own line with independent numbering (Mibao V3 Fairtale Town). These are not the same thing. If you see "Mibao V3" it belongs to the Mibao sub-line, not the third main series.
When in doubt, read the full theme name and ignore the numbers entirely. The themes are unique; the numbers are not.
Every format Nommi ships in
Standard plush blind box - the core product. A single blind-boxed plush, typically $15 to $27 depending on the series. This is what most series are.
Plush pendant / keychain (100%) - smaller, with a clip or strap, made to be carried rather than shelved. Starts around $10.99.
Large plush (400%) - display scale. $54.99 and up, with limited editions considerably higher.
Ball-jointed dolls - a genuinely different product line. The Forest Kingdom series is an articulated BJD rather than a plush, and there is a separate 1/8 scale clothing line sold without the doll, which tells you the line is built for people who dress and pose them. The Chengdu Limited Edition Baby Panda BJD is the collector piece in this corner.
Novelty and accessory formats - silicone earphone cases, plush-covered notebooks, gift boxes. These appear around holidays and as limited runs. They are the least collected part of the catalogue and, for the same reason, the part that disappears fastest.

Collaborations and limited editions
Heymi x Nommi "The Entwined Fate", "Have a Bite of the Apple", the "Love Yourself" gift box, and the Christmas plush notebook. These are produced in smaller quantities and are the series most likely to be unavailable at any given moment.
Availability moves constantly - anything in these tables can be in or out of stock on a given day, and limited editions in particular do not come back. The current live list is at didapop.com/collections/nommi.
Who Nommi is actually for
Worth being direct, because the brand is not for everyone.
It suits you if you like soft over hard, you carry your collectibles rather than shelving them, you prefer calm pastel design to loud or edgy design, and you would rather collect a character family than chase one hyped figure. The entry price is also genuinely low for the category - $11 to $27 covers most of the catalogue.
It probably does not suit you if you collect for resale value. Nommi does not have the speculative secondary market that the biggest vinyl IPs do, and that is arguably the point: prices stay close to retail because demand is driven by people who want the toy rather than people flipping it. If your interest in blind boxes is investment, this is the wrong aisle.
The BJD line is a separate hobby. Do not buy a Forest Kingdom doll expecting a plush experience. Articulated dolls with a clothing ecosystem are a different commitment of money and attention - rewarding, but not an impulse purchase.
Authenticity
Nommi is faked less aggressively than the most viral vinyl IPs, but "less" is not "not", and counterfeits concentrate around whatever series is currently hardest to get. A few practical notes.
Price is the most reliable pre-purchase signal. These are inexpensive toys to begin with, so the margin for a legitimate discount is thin. A current series at a fraction of the prices above is a warning, not a bargain.
Check the print quality on the box and tag. Counterfeit packaging typically gets the colours slightly wrong and the small print noticeably wrong - blurred edges, misaligned logos, spelling errors in the licensing text.
Feel and stitching are the tell on plush. The genuine articles use dense, evenly-piled fabric with tidy seams. Fakes tend to be thinner, patchier, and looser at the joins, which is hard to fake in photographs and obvious in the hand.
Buy from a channel with a real supply relationship - the official TOP TOY and MINISO channels, or a specialty retailer that sources through distribution. Most authenticity risk in this category lives on resale marketplaces, not at retail. We wrote a fuller breakdown of how the channels compare in Where to Buy Blind Boxes Online in 2026.
Where to start
If you want one thing to find out whether you like the brand: a 100% pendant, around $11. It is the cheapest way in and the format most people end up using daily.
If you want the full experience: a standard plush blind box from a current series - Puppy Diary and Interesting Fruits are the most widely available at the moment - for about $17 to $24.
If you already know you like it and want a display piece: a 400%, understanding that limited-edition 400% releases sit in a different price bracket entirely.
If you are shopping for someone else, the pendants are the safe answer. They are small, they are cheap, they are useful, and the design is broadly likeable in a way the larger pieces are not.
