The Baby Three Zodiac series is the one Baby Three release that people buy for someone else more often than for themselves. Twelve plush figures, one for each animal of the Chinese zodiac, each in a costume for its sign — which makes it the default birth-year gift in the blind box world. It is also one of the few Baby Three series to have been reissued as a V2, and the difference matters if you're hunting a specific animal. Here is the whole series: the lineup, the hidden edition, V1 versus V2, sizes, prices at mass retail versus specialty stores, and how to get the exact animal you want.
The 12 designs
Every Zodiac set covers the full cycle: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. Each is Baby Three's round-faced plush in an animal costume with sign-specific accessories — the Dragon and Rabbit are consistently the most requested, and the Dragon is usually the first to disappear from confirmed-figure listings. On top of the 12 regulars there is 1 hidden edition; TOPTOY does not publish the odds.
V1 vs V2: what changed
The original Twelve Zodiac release established the concept. Zodiac V2 keeps the same 12 animals but with updated costume designs and colour palettes, and it is the version most stockists carry in 2026. If a listing just says "Baby Three Zodiac" without a version, assume V2 for current stock and V1 for anything described as pre-owned or vintage. The two versions are not interchangeable for set completion — a V1 Dragon and a V2 Dragon are different figures.
There is also a separate series, Zodiac Guardian Story, which casts Baby Three as zodiac guardian spirits rather than the animals themselves. It's a different lineup (12 plus a hidden) at a lower price point and shouldn't be confused with the Twelve Zodiac set.
Size
Zodiac V2 plush stand roughly 18–22 cm depending on the costume, which makes them noticeably larger than Baby Three's 10–12 cm standard plush series. That's a big part of why they read as a gift rather than a bag charm. For how Baby Three sizing works across the range, see the Baby Three size guide.
How much is a Baby Three Zodiac?
Zodiac is one of the few Baby Three series stocked by US mass retail, which gives a clean price benchmark: GameStop lists a single Twelve Zodiac blind box at $24.99, and specialty importers list V2 at around the same $24.99. At DidaPop, Zodiac V2 is $16.99 per box unboxed or $19.99 boxed, with 6-box sets at $95.99 and $118.99. The Zodiac Guardian Story series is cheaper again at $10.99 per box when listed.
Why the gap? Mass retail carries a distributor margin and sells a single SKU; we source Baby Three directly and stock the range. The full picture is in the Baby Three price guide.
How to get the specific animal you want
This is the question that matters for a gift, and a blind box gives you a one-in-twelve chance. Three ways around it:
- Buy a full set. A 12-box set guarantees every animal once (the hidden edition is not guaranteed). Only worth it if you want all twelve or plan to trade.
- Ask us to open it live. On our daily TikTok live we open boxes on camera; you see the animal before you commit, and confirmed singles can be requested.
- Buy a confirmed figure. Opened, confirmed Zodiac figures trade on marketplaces at a premium over blind-box price, highest for Dragon and Rabbit.
Sold out? Use the restock button
Zodiac runs out in waves, especially around Lunar New Year and again around graduation and back-to-school gifting. If the product page shows out of stock, tap Notify me when back in stock — restocks are prioritised by demand, so the button genuinely moves the queue.
Authenticity
Zodiac is heavily counterfeited because it's a gift item bought by non-collectors. The tells are the same as the rest of Baby Three: face embroidery symmetry, plush density, colour accuracy against official photos, and the TOPTOY tag. Full checklist in Authentic vs Fake Baby Three.
